Roads approaching Apple Valley Farm Motorcoach Resort or not lighted. It is recommended that you arrive before dark if possible.

From Interstate 40 East (towards Charlotte) or West Bound (towards Asheville)

Exit 85, HWY 221 South towards Rutherfordton
Travel 18.7 miles on HWY 221 South to exit for HWY 64 West/74A
On the exit, right turn at stop sign onto HWY 64/West/74A.
Travel 0.4 miles to stop sign, which continues to be HWY 64 West/74A.
Right turn at stop sign to continue on HWY 64West/74A
Travel 12.7 miles on HWY 64 West/74A turn right onto Bills Creek Road
Travel 1.8 miles on Bills Creek Road turn left onto Buffalo Creek Road
Travel 1.7 miles on Buffalo Creek Road to Apple Valley Farm Motorcoach Resort on left. (Look for white fencing and the red barn on the left.)

Do not pass Apple Valley Farm resort in a coach. Turning around requires accessing the Rumbling Bald resort .5 mile further on the right and negotiating tight turns. Do NOT pass Rumbling Bald Resort. Buffalo Shoals Road is 5 miles of very tight turns and no turn arounds.

From Interstate 26 North (towards Asheville) or South bound (towards Greenville)

Merge onto HWY 74 East
Travel 5 miles on HWY 74 to exit for Lake Lure/RT 9
Travel 13 miles on RT 9 North to stop sign. At this stop sign turn right onto HWY 64 East/74A
Travel 2.8 miles on HWY 64 East/74A then turn left onto Bills Creek Road
Travel 1.8 miles on Bills Creek Road turn left onto Buffalo Creek Road
Travel 1.7 miles on Buffalo Creek Road to Apple Valley Farm Motorcoach Resort on left. (Look for white fencing and the red barn on the left.)
